This policy applies to TBRE PTY LTD (Licence No. 4720180), trading as TBRE. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Personal information you give us when you contact us, ask about selling or buying a venue, or request an appraisal. This usually includes your name, phone number, email address, the venue you are enquiring about, and anything you tell us in a message. We may also collect information from public sources and from industry databases, and from the buyers, sellers, advisers and agents we deal with in a transaction.
To respond to your enquiry, to appraise and market venues, to match buyers with suitable opportunities, to run a sale or lease through to settlement, to meet our legal obligations as a licensed real estate agent, and to keep in touch with you about relevant opportunities. You can ask us to stop at any time.
Many of our matters are confidential. We do not disclose a vendor’s identity, a venue’s trading details or a buyer’s identity to anyone outside the transaction without the relevant person’s consent, unless the law requires it.
Only where needed: solicitors, accountants, valuers, lenders, other agents and the other party to a transaction (with your consent), and service providers who help us run our website, email and systems. We do not sell personal information. If we send information outside Australia, for example through cloud services, we take reasonable steps to protect it.
Our website may use cookies and similar tools to understand how the site is used. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings. Forms on this site are sent to TBRE, and we do not collect payment details through the website.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep records for as long as the law requires or our business needs, and then destroy or de-identify them.
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
